2013년 4월 19일 부터 24일 까지 태국에서 진행된 BYLT & 67th WFBY Ex-Bo Meeting & Earth Day에 김진영 국제팀장과 손동대 정책기획실장이 참가하였습니다.

WFBY 청년불자 리더연수, WFBY 임원회의, DKF 지구의 날 행사 등 굵직한 행사가 3일이라는 짧은 기간에 걸쳐 진행되다보니  다소 빡빡한 일정이었습니다. 하지만, 태국의 DKF식의 명상, 스님들의 태국어 강연, 태국식 공양, DKF 큰 스님의 생방송 참관, 국회 방문 등과 보트 위에서 함께한 점심 식사, 불상에 금박 붙이기, 촛불 의식, 등불 날리기 등의 일정을 통해 태국 불교 의식에 직접 참여하는 시간을 보내며, 다른 불교 문화권의 불자들이 서로를 더 이해하게 되고, 한마음이 되는 순간이 있었습니다. 

WFBY의 차기 연수는 일본에서 열리는 25세 미만을 위한 청년 불자 리더연수로 8월 방학 기간이니만큼 대불청 회원들의 자제분들에게 좋은 기회가 될 것 같습니다. 

  일정

4월 19일 오후 5시 30분 인천 공항 출발

4월 20일 오전 3시 숙소 Sripathum Dhamma 도착. 명상, 체조, 개회식, 스님 강연, DKF 사찰 투어, 방생, 생방송 참관, 임원회의

4월 21일 강연, 보트 위의 식사, 사찰방문, 성공담 공유, 폐회식, 촛불의식, 등불 날리기

4월 22일 지구의 날 행사 참석, 스님 5만명, 불자 10만명과 함께 명상, 스님들께 공양, 4km 단체 행렬

4월 23일 사찰, 불교 국립박물관, 국회 방문. 오후 10시 20분 방콕 공항 출발

4월 24일 오전 6시 인천 공항 도착

BYLT & 67th WFBY Ex-Bo meeting & Earth Day 후 WFBY 회장의 감사 편지

 

Ven sirs, Dear All,

The BYLT 2013,Thailand just finished yesterday but some of our friends Bro. Vivek with his team and Sis. Sona from YMBA Nepal still in Thailand.

First of All I would like to thank WFBY Ex-Boards, all participants,speakers , all WFBY HQ staffs,Thai RCs and volunteers who make this gathering possible.

I do hope everyone enjoy the program and get a lot of benefit for Buddhist works during your stay in Thailand.

We had a chance to meet with both Abbot and Vice Abbot from DKF who gave us the concept to revive Buddhism

(I will summarize his speech for everyone again) , Ven. Dr. Thanavuddho assistant abbot, keynote speaker and also gave us the Tipitaka,

Ven. Pasura WFBY Advisor,Translator for 1st Day and Chief of Reception Department for Inter guests on Earth Day program.

Thanks for all honorary speakers and guest speakers from our RCs,esp. Bro. Anurut who present the whole pic. of WFBY and

have lunch with us on the Boat around Ayudthya Island.

Thanks to Ven. Pawithai and his team who organized wonderful program for us, Alm Offering,Songkran and Lighting ceremony.

Thanks to Dr. Vicchuda who led the meditation in the closing ceremony and Dr. Jang the co-ordinator of opening and closing ceremony.

For Earth Day,22 nd April 2013 and also The Abbot's Birthday 69th anniversary, I would like to thank all Head of RCs who sent the compliment to the abbot.

I think you can learn a lot how 50,000 monks and 100,000 lay people gathered with peaceful atmosphere,polite and in order.

The 4th Day of program we visited the National Office of Buddhism and PM office

I think we can join more about Buddhist work with government in the future.
